DIGITAL PUBLISHING AT DE GRUYTER

As an academic publisher with over 270 years of history, we’re constantly reinventing ourselves to keep up with the times. Change is in our very nature. Similarly, the research communities we serve are constantly changing the world every day by advancing knowledge in countless areas – and this inspires us in our mission to be conscious change-makers ourselves. We tirelessly advocate for innovations that will inspire scholars, facilitate their work, and help disseminate their knowledge.

To us, the digital revolution presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with our academic communities. As research topics and tools change, and new fields such as Digital Humanities are on the rise, we’re keeping pace by providing the digital infrastructure needed today and tomorrow. So far, our efforts have included creating a sophisticated new website for cutting-edge digital products and databases, adding emerging academic subjects to our portfolios, forging new Open Access partnerships, engaging in public debates on social media, and preserving our longstanding archive and making it digitally accessible in its entirety. And that’s just the start.
