journals, and databases. In the course of our 100-year history we are proud to have significantly expanded our range of theoretical and practical philosophy, and we look forward to continuing to grow the portfolio in all key areas.

Coming Soon

We would especially want to draw your attention to our new series De Gruyter History of Philosophy of Science, edited by Catherine Kendig, Lydia Patton, and Alan Richardson. The first volumes will be out soon:

Partnership with Bard College’s Hannah Arendt Center

In 2023, a partnership was established by De Gruyter and the Hannah Arendt Center for Politics and Humanities at Bard College, marked by the launch of the De Gruyter-Arendt Center Lecture in Political Thinking. Sponsored by De Gruyter, this annual lecture series invites preeminent thinkers to discuss pressing political and ethical issues of our day.

The inaugural lecture, titled “Arendt and the Problem of Political Persuasion,” was presented by Professor Linda Zerilli of The University of Chicago and served as the keynote address for a two-day interdisciplinary humanities conference.

The partnership represents an exciting development for the study of political theory and philosophy, with more projects in the works to facilitate research and offer an important forum for scholarly debates.
